Local Products

Sourcing products from local growers and producers is very important at Common Ground.  Many are surprised at the wide selection of local products we carry.  Fresh local produce is available much of the year since local farms have started using hoop houses.  Locally produced eggs, milks, cheeses, meats, honey, and breads are a big draw for our customers.

Community

What are all those beans about?

Some customers look puzzled when, after asking if they’d like a bag for their items, we hand them a bean.  So here’s the deal:

Anytime you  bring your own bag or go without one, we give you a bean that is worth 5 cents to a local charity. You simply turn around and place your bean in the jar with the name of the charity you like.  Then we count up the beans and send a check  to the charity.  Some customers choose to throw in some extra change, which is also perfectly fine!
