Dahl (Curried Lentil Soup)


4 cups water

1 cup red lentils

1 Tbsp  grated fresh ginger

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp ground cumin

1/2 tsp ground coriander

1/2 tsp ground turmeric

1/2 tsp ground cardamom

1 tsp sea salt

2 Tbsp lemon juic


  1. Boil the water in a small stockpot and add all ingredients except lemon juice.
  2. Cook on low heat stirring often, for about 45 minutes.
  3. Add lemon juice, stir and serve.
